It is common to find IMUs in phones and tablets for determining the orientation of the device to switch between portrait and landscape modes. Games like the Wii use an IMU to detect level and motion. From balancing robots to robot arms it is common to make use of IMUs to establish position and velocity. Here an IMU is used to determine yaw, pitch, and roll, and to level the devices while flying.
